fitting in

when i entered the promo plugs office yesterday, i really thought it was going to be training day all over again: nothin to do but look around, observe, chat a bit, then get bored but without making it obvious. well, it started out kinda like that. i spent the first hours talkin with the other newly hireds and the few friends i made during training. later, miss leng took and briefed us about the ins and outs of post production.

and then there was kate. i have a crush on her. she is cute, petite, and cuddly, the kind of girl i find hard to say no to (like layla). anyways, she asked for my email address and added me in her friendster list of friends. yay.

four hours before my out time, miss leng gave me a task. yay! it was a plug for the mother's day special mel & joey episode on sunday and i finished it with little assistance from her. i wish i could see it on tv. i probably wont because i could only go home this sunday and i dont think they'd still be showin that plug on that day. but anyhow, i am happy.

that's it. im off to have lunch and begin a new day as a gma network inc promo plug editor. take care to me.

the first day

wearin a thick striped polo shirt and plaid underwear, i went and began my first day of work at gma. but there was no work for me today and i spent the whole day in the hrd training room with 16 other newly-hired employees for orientation. we filled up documents, listened to people talk, chit-chatted with each other, and ate candies that werent meant for us. then we went on a guided tour all over the gma place and were then given our work schedules. mine's 3pm to 12am. not my choice but im fine with it. the shifts rotate anyways.

when i got out, i walked around for about half an hour then ate isaw and rice for dinner. later, im gonna call up layla so i could hear her voice and my day will be complete. well, not as complete as when i get to see her smile, but it's better than nothin. here's hopin she'd visit me so i could show her my "maong" underwear.

today & tomorrow

today:

left home early with two bags and some cash. with my dad behind the wheel and my two lil sisters in the backseat, i arrived in manila lunchtime. we ate lunch at a restaurant near the apartelle i would be temporarily staying. in one table, there were three old ladies and a cute chick in a short skirt. she reminded me of layla.

they dropped me off at the apartelle and headed for alabang. this was the same place i stayed in during my one week training. had to take the Php 750.00 room because the Php 550.00 one wasnt available. it has airconditioning and tv. i wished layla was there to chill with me.

met up with a couple of guys id be living with next week. they found an Php 8,000.00 house in tomas morato and we had it reserved. two floors, two bedrooms, a small dinner right outside, and gimik venues all around. cant wait to have layla sleep over.

slept for two hours. went out, found this nameless computer shop, had my parents' birth certificates photocopied, then began blogging. it has been a month since my last one. i miss layla.

tomorrow:

will be at gma hrd for my first day of work.
