dead spot

about a couple of months ago, john, a co-worker, and i, bashed our brains together and decided to make a short film ("fans" of my blog would know ive mentioned it here). the idea was to bring star wars to the philippines. lightsabers were made. actors were cast. a mini-dv camera was borrowed. but lo and behold, we didnt even finish shooting the first scene. it was a curse, we agreed. and so we let it go.

cinemanila film festival begins on october 12. john and i have broken the curse and finished a horror film entitled "dead spot." we've submitted the form and currently editing the movie. hopefully, even if we do not win the 1.5 million peso first prize (or at least the 100 thousand peso finalist prize), our movie will be screened in the theaters. but of course, with that amount of moolah at stake, we wanna win! wish us luck!

hello, dear visitor. welcome (back) to my blog.

this monday, the 26th september, is my birthday. i had previously planned to celebrate it on sunday at a beach resort with friends. but recent turn of events made me call it off. why? well, if you've read my blog a lot, you'd know why.

the maiden.

id rather not blabber too much about it. meant to pick her up from work, went to the wrong building, waited for hours, phoned her and woke her up, she got mad. end of story. but the drama goes on. with better things to do this weekend, she says she WON'T (not can't) be coming to my supposed party. and will not be giving me any gift. yes, folks. it hurts. all of it. her not coming, no gift (damn i love gifts...), and her i-dont-give-a-rat's-ass attitude about the whole thing. ouch. hurts like my heart's being fried. with the flame set on high, and my heart's stickin to the pan.

i have no idea what to do on sunday. happy birthday my ass.
